This Privacy Policy explains how Ankol ("Ankol", "we", "us") collects, uses, stores and shares information when you use our mobile applications and website (the "Service"). Because Ankol handles health information, we hold ourselves to a high standard of care and transparency.

2. Information we collect
Account information: such as your name, email address and authentication credentials.
Health information you choose to log: symptoms, diagnostic and lab results, prescriptions and medications, consultations, measurements and vitals, food and exercise, and any notes, photos or documents you attach.
Usage and device information: such as app interactions, device type and diagnostic logs, used to operate and improve the Service.
3. How we use your information
To provide the core Service: storing your timeline, computing trends, correlations and insights, generating Doctor's View briefs, and answering questions you ask the in-app assistant.
To process content using AI: text, photos and documents you submit may be processed by trusted AI providers solely to structure, analyse and explain your own data. Ankol computes deterministic facts first and uses AI to rank, explain and phrase them — never to make a diagnosis.
To secure, maintain and improve the Service, and to communicate with you about your account.
We do not sell your personal or health information, and we do not use your health data for advertising.
4. Sharing you control
Ankol only shares your health information at your direction. When you generate a Doctor's View brief and choose to share it, you may produce a PDF, present it on screen, or create a secure link.
Secure links are token-scoped, can be set to expire, and can be revoked by you at any time. Access to shared briefs may be logged so you can see how a link has been used.
5. Service providers
We use a limited set of trusted infrastructure and AI providers to operate the Service (for example, cloud hosting and AI model providers). These providers process data on our behalf under contractual confidentiality and security obligations and only as needed to deliver the Service.
6. Data security
We use industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit and at rest, access controls and audit logging, to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work continuously to protect your data.
7. Data retention and your rights
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You can access, correct, export or delete your data from within the app or by contacting us.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or comparable regulations, including the right to object to or restrict certain processing.
8. Children's privacy
The Service is not directed to children under the age required by your local law to consent to data processing, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
