1. Agreement to terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Ankol applications and website (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Not medical advice
Ankol is a personal health information tool. It surfaces associations and trends in the data you provide and is intended to help you organise information and prepare for conversations with your healthcare providers.
Ankol does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment, and is not a substitute for the judgement of a qualified clinician. It will never tell you to start, stop or change a medication. Always seek the advice of your physician or other qualified health provider with any questions about a medical condition. Never disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking it because of something you read in the Service.
If you think you may have a medical emergency, call your doctor or emergency services immediately.
3. Eligibility and accounts
You must be old enough to form a binding contract and to consent to the processing of health data in your jurisdiction. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your account credentials secure.
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
4. Your content
You retain ownership of the health information and other content you submit to the Service ("Your Content"). You grant us a limited licence to host, process and display Your Content solely to operate and provide the Service to you, including processing by AI providers to structure and explain your own data.
You are responsible for Your Content and for ensuring you have the right to submit it.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Service, including by attempting to access it in unauthorised ways, disrupting its operation, reverse-engineering it, or using it to submit content that infringes the rights of others or violates applicable law.
6. Sharing features
The Service lets you share briefs and other content, for example via secure links. You are responsible for choosing who to share with and for revoking access when appropriate. We provide tools such as expiring and revocable links to help you manage this.
7. Subscriptions and payment
Some features may require a paid subscription. Pricing displayed during early access is provisional and may change before general availability. Where charges apply, they will be disclosed to you and require your consent before being made. Applicable app-store terms may also govern purchases.
8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any analysis is complete or accurate.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ankol will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss arising from your reliance on the Service for medical decisions.
9. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or to protect the Service and its users.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the “last updated” date and, where appropriate, notify you of material changes. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
